I figure I should probably go ahead and get in on the #sidetracked challenge u/Teufelskraft is doing by sharing a song I’ve been listening to my whole life. My mom didn’t do the traditional nursery rhymes for kids so we grew up hearing her sing a lot of pop songs from the 60s and 70s. One of my earliest memories is hearing my mom singing Janis Joplin’s“Mercedes Benz”. It’s a simple acapella song but every time I hear it I think of my mom and just last week she was over at my brother’s place holding her new grandson and started singing it to him. If I ever have children of my own I’m almost certainly going to pass that on.
