July 31, 2022 - Stag never smelled so good
Although I was tired, I prepared myself for today. I honed my blade and reworked my strop with sandpaper like Lazarus said in the wicked_edge Discord. Although the leather of the strop is a bit pale now, it's smooth like babyskin.
To get in the right mood, I listened to Audioslave - Show me how to live
In my little shower with red light.
For explanation, we have two showers, a tiny one where we had to install a LED light to not stand in the dark. My girlfriend told me that the warm water does not work properly there, but who needs warm water if not for cooking? The cool thing with the LED is that I can change the light color and it has some specials, like fading light and iterating through the color palette. Why does anyone need this? I have no idea, but I can set the light color to match the songs, and that's pretty cool. For today, black light would have fitted best or just showering in the dark. Some people recommend to try that once and I did, but it's a pretty boring experience.
So I set the light to red, which looks a bit brothel like.
After the shower, I started my shave. I didn't remember that Stags soap had that good quality, but here I stood with the easiest soap to lather with a slick thick white foam. Very great. I never liked the scent of the soap as much as I liked it today.
The aftershave is menthol ates, which I didn't know and caught me by a pleasant surprise.
Stag is a summer scent
I topped it with some Stag Balm and am ready for my dentist checkup.
I love how each Stag product highlights a different ingredient in it. This month, I ll use everything I could get as an europeasant. Still waiting for my Stag bar soap though.

Aug. 2, 2022 - Brothers Birthday
This shave is dedicated to my little halve brother, who becomes 10 years today. He is a pretty odd child, as he is not much interested in gaming, toys or such stuff, but machines, electronics tools and cooking utilities. He already got a steak grill, frier, cotton candy machine, popcorn machine, chocolate fountain, gummibear maker and loves to get us beer from the tab. We have this thing going that we send us postcards, sometimes just for fun.
Because he loves tools, Stag is his favorite soap and I hope to get the bar soap on time to give him a piece of it.
Two and a halve passes this morning. I am afraid of going to the office that staggy.

Aug. 3, 2022 - Disco Stag
My colleagues survived the Stag. I said upfront that I slipped with my aftershave bottle and the scent is polarizing. Nobody commented on it.
My SOTD is done in my disco shower. Difficult to get a good picture with sparse light.
The shave was pretty good for two passes. I cared a lot to avoid irritations around my Adam's apple. Usually I habe a sideways area above it that is always red. I think my neck makes a curve here and the edge of the razor is 'caught' in it.

Aug. 3, 2022 - Dalle 2 SOTD
On my last morning showers, I felt like the water would reactivate the scent of the Stag. Yesterday during my workout my sweat did the same. The Stag is already in every pore of my body, my shaving shirt smells of Stag, my bathroom does too. It's wonderful, my girlfriend will kill me when she returns home.
While my SOTD pic is boring, I asked an Ai to generate some images. This is the first one I liked.
Will be on a magic the gathering tournament later. Although I will be surrounded by nerds, I shaved off my neck beard.

Aug. 4, 2022 - Disco Stag honors Zenith bulk buy and the hybridization of Stag and Knights
Today's SOTD honors the Zenith bulk buy with green light.
Also, Dallee AI predicted that by day 5 we would transform into an inhuman creature, halve human, halve Stag.
My first cut during AA. Blood was spilled. Well no. It's just a scratch. I started to precision lather the soap as I am really low on Stag and will hopefully end the tub with the 31.
Tournament was fun. Although I went 1-3 (3 loses) I won at least one round vs each opponent and have a feeling that my learning curve is very high. There were no nasty smells, BTW.

Aug. 7, 2022 - Relaxing sunday
I slept pretty long today at my father's place. After the shower I wanted to see if my little brother is also awake and if he wants to shave with me. He was on the couch watching Star Wars and needed some time to get up. Cartoon time.
Then he helped me to get a good lather and I shaved parts of his face with my razor. He loves the Stag smell, but had to keep absolutely still while I shaved him. I could see that he was nervous. I was nervous too, as the ankle is very different to shaving myself.
He survived without cuts and I gave him some Stag Balm. He asked if there is Stag hand soap. It's on its way to my place and I would have given him some, if I had it.
As long as I did not put on my glasses, I was comfortable with the shave. Now I see that it's not very close. I applied the aftershave after breakfast, because I did not want to kill anyone's appetite.

Aug. 7, 2022 - Home cleaning day
Yesterday I started with homecleaning which I will continue today. That's why you see an iron in my SOTD.
Gf will be back tomorrow and I want her to be comfortable at home.
The shave was okay. I am in the office today and look clean, although I know that my neck area could have been shaven closer.

Aug. 8, 2022 - Extra close
Tonight my gf will be back from vacation, so my shave had to be extra close. On my neck are some dirty spots, but that should not matter. I might use a EdT or EDP in more than 12 hours. Guess that's okay for the Stag challenge.
The last days, I had to be very cautious with the amount of soap I used to make it through the month. Currently I feel comfortable with the amount thats left. Unfortunately, my lather is often pretty thin. As you see in my SOTD pic, I ll leave some today's soap for tomorrow. I ll need it anyway.
My motorcycle helmet and the ninja head I put on before the helmet now smell like Stag and not like cerberus anymore.

Not in the mood to work today, as things are not going well.
Gf could smell the Stag even 14 hours after my shave and complained that the whole flat smells of it after my shave.
The shave was okay. Some spots on my neck could be shorter, but I wasn't in the mood to care much about it.

Not much to say. With the leftovers from yesterday and a tiny bit of more soap, I was able to create a nice dense lather.
Did only two passes, because Thursdays are my most disliked day of the week and often shit. So I did not shave as close as I could. Self fulfilled prophecy.

My shave wasn't that close yesterday and it really got on my nerves. Today I shaved 2,5 passes to get a closer shave in as little time as possible. The lather was fantastic I ll recommend CF more often when it's about creating an easy to lather soap.

Aug. 13, 2022 - Surf stag
Today we went paddling on a stand up paddle board. It's not the uber hobby like jet ski driving, but it's a nice thing to do. Like a bicycle ride, just over water. Guess we dodged sunburn. I fell from the board once and the water reactivated the wonderful Stag scent.
We just went to a liquor store which changed the owner recently. Honestly, the new guy is more my liking than the talkative guy before.
We bought Rum, Japanese Gin and Reposado Tequila.
On our way back I kissed my girl, but she stopped me :"You just don't smell good."
"I am saving the planet with stag"
"you are not saving the relationship"
She said cheeky.

Aug. 15, 2022 - Gentlemen Stag
Was very nice to see my God Child yesterday. The park we went to was really awesome for kids. Take anything you ever saw that kids like and put it into one park. Animals, swings, water slides, pools, Trampolin, soccer, kicker and table tennis. She is too tiny to explore everything, but each year she can experience a new part of the park.
Today, a friend will come over for a few rounds of magic as tournament practice. I call it the gentleman round, because the way we play is very calm, supportive and mindfully. Not like my Friday round with friends where we insult each other, play till 3 in the morning and it will be loud

Aug. 16, 2022 - Night shift
Today will be a long day. In the gym it's chest day, which takes the most time because I need to take long breaks. I call those days 'night shift'. To have a smooth face even after the long day, I decided to get an extra close shave today. Maybe I went to hard on my chin area. The double aftershave will take care of all irritations.

Aug. 17, 2022 - No definite plan today
I have no idea what I ll do after work today. If the weather turns out to be good, I ll drive an hour to a small magic tournament. If it ll rain I ll probably do grocery shopping, eat like a truck and iron clothes.
As I hope for good weather I only did a two pass shave, which turned out pretty well.
My razor is coated with milky soap rests, which do not wash of perfectly. I guess during the next honing session in September it will be scrubbed off.

Aug. 18, 2022 - Water your plants!
My SOTD is a reminder to wet my plants. Usually I do that on Thursdays, but forgot it yesterday.
They will survive. They have to (just like my headless horsemen).
My tournament went pretty long yesterday and I am happy with the result. On my way home I called a friend to talk about the game and work for an hour. Because of the chat I missed a drive off and had to take another route. It's beautiful to ride the motorcycle at night on empty roads.
As I had trouble to get out of bed, I had to hurry my shave. Two and a halve pass should be enough with even less focus on my neck to give it some rest.

Shaved after the gym today in three passes for a very close shave. Of course I had some irritations and blood, but nothing major. We went to the city center to get me two new Sci fi books for our vacation.
Snow crash is already on my desk, three body problem was bought today and burning chrome is ordered.
We also went to IKEA and a hardware store for some decorations.

44 people for today's magic tournament. Got up early, showered, shaved very calm before gf could wake up.
As my precision lathering saved me a lot of soap, I ll go on with tub loading instead for the rest of the month.
There was little to no stubble, so this shave went very easy.

My SOTD looks a bit like a figure, that's why I named it like that. I have trouble with imgur today, so I ll add the pic later.
2 pass shave today. After the shave I was astonished how close my shave was. 2 hours later I find more and more spots where I was not close enough and those get on my nerves.
I am not sure what I anticipate about this day. On the one hand I am not looking forward to work, on the other hand I am curious about the findings I had yesterday.

Aug. 24, 2022 - Homeoffice stag
Today I ll be in homeoffice and a bit excited for work. I hope it's really going uphill and not just my feeling.
As my standards for an acceptable shave rose during the LG, I had to shave as close as I could. There are some irritations on mx neck, but I will be able to touch my face through the day without getting annoyed.

Aug. 26, 2022 - Circus stag
I was so looking forward to this shave, I don't know why. This great smell of Stag, I wanted to bathe in it. The blade needs some rest so the shave was a bit uncomfortable at times. Still close and not much irritations the aftershave would not handle.
We will be in a circus today. Money aside, if they would earn better, I would try to perform on stage for a living.
BTW, that's one of my favorite questions to get to know people. If you could hold your living standard with any job, what would you do?

Aug. 28, 2022 - Stagversary
Today is our anniversary. We took a day off and woke up in Germanys wine area. Directly after breakfast we headed to a wine shop to buy two bottles, put it in the little trunk of my bike and drove home. Our knees and butts hurt. Speaking of butts. The wine be bought translates to naked - Butt. Nobody knows why it has the name, but the best rumor is that some guys sneaked to the wine barrels, got drunk and the owner smacked their naked butts as punishment.
At home, I shaved. The razor really needs some rest as I am getting irritations from shaving close.
September is always a good month to review all my razors and probably send them to professionals.

Not much to shave today. Did two passes but focused a lot on the last pass to get the best possible result.
Tuesday is our main office day. Once, my team lead said it smells like desinfectant in the room we work in. Nobody was offended by Stag. Great team.

Aug. 30, 2022 - Goodbye Stag
That's it. AA is over. Stag is back in my shave den and not in the bathroom like it was all month (we do not shower there anymore so the humidity is low).
Did my shaves and technique got better. No, but I did not try much.
What I take out of this month is that the Chiseled Face soap base is probably the easiest one to lather on the whole market. While it does not have any special features, it's a damn good soap. Also, precision loading saves a lot of soap and works great with the base.
I am happy nobody besides my gf was offended by the stag scent.
It's sad I couldn't kill the tub till the end of the month. I plan to kill it at the end of the year. Am I the only one who wants to save at least one shave in case of the next year's lather games?
Time to hone my blade!
