Well this is going to get worse before it gets better day one was a real treat. Irritate my skin face lathering with this brand new boar brush that is super stiff. When my skin was finally red and irritated from building a good face lather I whipped out the MMOC to really slice up as much as possible. This is only my third single edge mmoc shave and it definitely drew the most blood. Osma alum block to the rescue what a nightmare this will be for the next 30 days. I do love this scent and I am interested to see if I get sick of it before the end of august. included a picture of my fancy new semogue 1438 with the rest of my gear that I’m stuck with for August. I am happy to have a MMOC to use for this challenge as it almost didn’t work out u/xgoldenjackalx was very helpful and I appreciate his gracious donation to my shaving journey. Hopefully I stop destroying my face before the end of this.

Today was better than yesterday. Still very sore in a couple spots on my neck. Not the closest shave today I may be a touch gun shy from the blood bath yesterday. The brush smell is not obvious to me and it may be slightly softer or my face is numb from the trauma of the previous shave. Turning the corner today this was an acceptable shave. The comfort level is still lower than I hope to achieve. The brush is at least not hurting me now so that helps. The brush looks pretty much the same to me at this point. My blade still feels fairly sharp and predictable now that my pressure is more accurate life is a bit less bloody.

Good shave today I was extra careful as I have a funeral to attend so I don’t want to look like a mess. The brush feels better every use it seems to be coming along much quicker than the omegas I have. Good shave today brush and razor are both working very well. This blade is actually still getting better I had a great close shave today as I say that I spotted one tiny bloody spot on my neck that I had not noticed earlier, sneaky. Ok shave today the brush is still working well. The GEM blade is starting to show some age I flipped it over for no reason today and it had a negative effect.I will probably try the side thats been working well for me tomorrow maybe give it a quick strop on my arm or something. #RawHoggin #GEMsOfWisdom

Good shave today. Flipped my blade back to the normal side and it worked the way it had been. The brush is comfortable now I do not believe that it is fully broken in or even close but it does what it needs to. Looks like rain is coming in which is fine I finished picking up bales yesterday now we are patiently waiting for harvest. #RawHoggin #GEMsOfWisdom

Todays shave was uncomfortable but it was successful. I flipped the blade and tried some light arm strops seems to have done well enough to remove hair. Brush is working ok, I feel like its a bit hard to load up for some reason maybe its just my patience. #RawHoggin #GEMsOfWisdom

Ok shave today blade flipped now and its not a whole lot better but it still cuts. I am also stropping it a bit on my arm it seems to help make a couple strokes a bit better. Ok shave today seems like the daily blade flip is the trick at this point. The brush is nice it holds onto a decent amount of soap and the feel is fairly soft. This combination of challenges is amusing as the brush gets better and the blade gets worse as time goes on. Interesting practice and I feel it is helping to expand my skill. #RawHoggin #GEMsOfWisdom

Not a very enjoyable shave today at all this blade is in poor condition but it does still take the hair off So we keep marching on. The brush is great I enjoy applying soap softly to my face so I can scrape it off slowly with something reminiscent of a butter knife. #RawHoggin #GEMsOfWisdom

Shave today was very poor. This blade is long over the point of normal retirement and is on the edge of very painful at times. Very excited to have a comfortable shave tomorrow. Brush is still working good and has become a nice brush although the handle cracked at some point and the red paint is bubbled for some reason it can sit around for future shaves. #RawHoggin #GEMsOfWisdom
